Karmine Corp have qualified for the VCT Masters Madrid after the French organization defeated Fnatic on Lotus (13-10) and Split (13-10).
On paper, the orange roster was the favorite to take EMEA's last spot to compete at the VCT Masters Madrid due to the organization's most recent results. Unfortunately, the VCT Masters Tokyo champions and Valorant Champions 2023 semifinalists won't be in Madrid following today's loss.
Previously, Karmine Corp had finished in second place in Group A after a defeat against Team Heretics, a win against GIANTX, and a narrow victory over FUT Esports, which included a 20-18 score on Lotus. Eventually, the French organization sneaked into the competition's semifinals after victories over KOI and Team Vitality.
Meanwhile, Fnatic's only match in the VCT 2024 EMEA Kickoff was a 2-0 victory against Gentle Mates that saw the orange roster obtaining Group C's first seed.
With this victory, Karmine Corp followed Team Heretics' footsteps as the Spanish organization defeated Natus Vincere earlier today. Tomorrow, both sides will face off to decide which team will get the region's first seed and three EMEA Points.
