Valorant game designer confirms Iso nerf is coming with patch 9.00

Iso's reign of terror will be over soon

Valorant game designer confirms Iso nerf is coming with patch 9.00

Valorant's patch 8.11 saw the release of the game's new map, Abbys. Located underground, the map has been a success so far as the community has enjoyed its unique traits. Although it's only been ten days since its release, Valorant players have already found countless tricks with Sova's arrows, Omen's teleporting ability, and more.

However, the same update also introduced multiple aspects the community hasn't enjoyed.  Since its launch, everybody has complained about Iso — even Iso mains. The Chinese agent used to be one of the worst Valorant characters but, with patch 8.11, he skyrocketed to the top of the list.

Now, he's arguably the best agent out there. However, his reign of terror is set to end soon.

Confirmed by @penguinVALORANT, one of Valorant's game designers, Iso will be nerfed with patch 9.00, which is set to be deployed next week.

According to Penguin, Iso's two-kill reset on his E will be removed. Additionally, the duration of his E will be reduced from 20 to 12 seconds.

After hearing these changes, the community's reaction has been mixed. While most of the game's fans feel like this is the right step to take, Iso mains are now worried that their favorite agent may be dead... again.

Fortunately, no matter what, Iso's demon stage will be over in a matter of days. His state following Patch 8.11 was ruining the experience of many players and Riot had to do something about it. Luckily, the change is coming soon on PC.

However, console players won't be so fortunate. Penguin also talked about the console community and how these changes will affect Valorant there and revealed that Iso's nerfs and Neon's slide equip bugfix will be fixed there with the launch of Patch 9.01.
