Update 9.00 for Valorant is coming soon to start the next season in the tactical shooter title, Episode 9 Act 1. Even though the game received significant changes and additions with version 8.11, this new patch is also set to bring more goodies.
While we wait for the first teasers and more information from Riot, here is everything we know about the update.
Release date
Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 is set to begin on Tuesday, June 25/Wednesday, June 26, depending on the region you play. Before the update is available to install, the game will go down for a four-hour maintenance period.
North America, LATAM, and Brazil servers will go down at 6:00 am PT and come back up at 10:00 am PT barring any issues.
On the other hand, European players will have to wait a little bit longer to enjoy this new season, as the maintenance starts the next day. Servers will go down at 4:00 am BST on Wednesday, June 26, and should return at 8:00 am on that same day.
What do we know about the patch notes?
Even though the patch notes won't be released until launch day, we have a few small details about what's coming along with some speculations.
Update 9.00 is set to modify the map pool for both the PC and console versions of the game. For PC players, Abyss will be added to the map pool for Competitive, Deathmatch, and Premier. On the other hand, Sunset will be added to the console limited-beta.

We also expect this patch to bring minor adjustments to some agents, mostly to make changes based on the community's feedback. Another thing that should be present in this version is error fixes, just like any previous update.
Once the complete patch notes are available, we will update this section to add them. In the meantime, you can check out our agents' tier list to see which characters are dominating the current meta.
