With the Valorant Champions 2024 ending this weekend, Riot Games offered the fans a look at how the game's esports bundles have performed this season.
According to Riot Games, the VCT Team Capsules and the Valorant Champions 2024 Bundle gathered a combined amount of over US$35M. This is already US$2M more than the money gathered from last year's in-game VCT Collections.
As announced by Riot Games In February 2024, each team earns "50% of profits from their respective Capsules." Therefore, a team that has generated US$1M from its VCT Team Capsule will get US$500k.
Additionally, all 44 VCT teams got a share of the Valorant Champions 2024 Bundle, with teams competing in Seoul, South Korea, getting a second share.
While the Valorant Champions 2024 Bundle will remain in the game's store until August 29, the VCT Team Capsules will be purchasable until September 12.
Given the economic importance of the VCT Team Capsules and other VCT-related content to esports organizations, fans often see the players promoting their respective Valorant Bundles to the crowd. One of the best examples was Sentinels' banner to encourage fans to purchase their bundle.
According to Riot Games' announcement on August 7, the Sentinels bundle was the most purchased VCT Team Capsule in North America since its release.
We expect Riot Games to reveal the final standings of the most-purchased VCT Team Capsules as soon as the bundles are removed from the store.
