So, if you're keen on getting your hands on some boons while grinding to earn the unique Chapter 6 Season 1 skins, we got you covered.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 boons explained
Boons are unique pickups that are consumed immediately. They grant powerful buffs. Unlike medallions, they have no downsides like getting a giant circle around your location on the map.
What's more, is that the buffs persist even after you're eliminated and get revived by a teammate. There are four boons in total. Here's what each does:
- Fire Boon: Reload your weapons faster
- Void Boon: Eliminating players reveals other players nearby
- Wind Boon: Move faster while your Pickaxe is equipped Water Boon: Swimming grants Health and Shields to yourself and nearby swimming squadmates
How to get boons in Fortnite
There are three main methods to get your hands on Fortnite boons during Chapter 6 Season 1:
Boons via chest is the fastest method
- Bring a Sprite to a Sprite Shrine
- Defeat a boss
- Collect them via chests
Some of the bosses are no joke this time around, so unless you have a solid squad we don't recommend you tackle them on your own. Finding sprites can be hit or miss as they are a rare sight around the map.
Your best bet is definitely finding boons through chests. Having said that, don't let us deter you from finding boons in whichever way you feel like.
