Do you know how to use sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1? If not, don't worry, we're here to help.
While you may have noticed things like Sprite Shrines scattered across the map, the actual cutesy little companions do provide a wealth of benefits for you and your teammates.
Among the those they offer are different healing or traversal methods, as well as being the key to earning the new boons, which grant permanent buffs during a match to whoever holds one of them.
Where to find sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
Finding sprites is relatively easy. The best way is to try and locate a Sprite Shrine and use it to pinpoint the location of nearby sprites for you to collect.
Sprites are useful and cute companions
Of course, if you don't want to go out of your way to find a shrine, simply explore named locations to possibly run into one of these lovely spirits cruising around the map.
How to use sprites in Fortnite
Despite being living creatures, they work the same as many consumables in Fortnite. Depending on the type of sprite you pick up, you'll gain access to a different ability. These are all the available sprites at the moment:
- Air Sprites: can be thrown to create an updraft wind vortex that can send you flying with a glider redeploy. The vortex can also damage builds and launch vehicles
- Water Sprites: can be thrown to create a healing fountain that restores health and shields to nearby players
- Earth Sprites will consume items you feed them in exchange for a reward
You can carry up to three sprites of the same type. However, you won't be able to stock up on multiple ones of different kinds.
If you happen to have one and run into a Sprite Shrine, use it to power your companion and receive loot, including a guaranteed boon.
