Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon this week

An update guide to help your grind

Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon this week

Destiny 2 features a wealth of challenging content for high Power Level players to pursue, with Nightfall being particularly coveted due to its generous rewards.

Nightfalls are essentially strikes or other types of content such as Battlegrounds, with modifiers to make them even harder, including Champions, which require specific conditions to take them down, making buildcrafting necessary.

As we approach The Final Shape, players will be working hard to obtain all the weapons and gear they can before the new expansion. Nightfall weapons are one of the many things they can pursue at the moment, along with BRAVE arsenal weapons, and more.

With the May 28 weekly reset, this is the Nightfall weapon you can expect to drop, as well as details on this week's challenge.

What is the Nightfall weapon this week? (May 28)

This week's Nightfall is the Uzume RR4 sniper rifle.

As always, the higher the difficulty, the better your chances of getting them. Here is the full breakdown

  • 1770 PL - Uncommon
  • 1830 PL - Common
  • 1840 PL - Common
  • 1840 PL - Common

Is the  Uzume RR4 good in Destiny 2?

This is quite frankly one of the worst Nightfall weapons to try and get so if you were expecting the final drop before The Final Shape to be a good one, we're safe to say Bungie disappointed more than a few with this one.

The perk pool is nothing to write home about, with some classic picks such as Fourth Time's the Charm and Snapshot Sights available in column 1. Column 2 offers Vorpal Weapon, Explosive Payload, and Incandescent.

As you can see, while not a super bad sniper rifle, it definitely lacks in the x-factor department to make it worth your time while grinding Nightfall content.

What is the Nightfall this week? (May 28)

This week's Nightfall is the HyperNet Current. Players require the Lightfall DLC to access it. Since Bungie decided to make the contents free for PS+ players, even if you haven't purchased the DLC, you'll still be able to play it if you're on PlayStation with an active subscription, just don't forget to claim the game.

The general modifiers for the Nightfall this week are:

  • Champions: Overload, Unstoppable
  • Threat: Arc (25% damage increase to incoming damage)
  • Surge: Statis, Solar (25% damage increase to outgoing damage)
  • Overcharged weapon: Grenade launchers
