Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon this week

An update guide to help your grind

Destiny 2 The Final Shape key art featuring three Guardians exploring The Pale Heart

Destiny 2 features a wealth of challenging content for high Power Level players to pursue, with Nightfall being particularly coveted due to its generous rewards.

Nightfalls are essentially strikes or other types of content such as Battlegrounds, with modifiers to make them even harder, including Champions, which require specific conditions to take them down, making buildcrafting necessary.

With the September 17 weekly reset, this is the Nightfall weapon you can expect to drop, as well as details on this week's challenge.

What is the Nightfall weapon this week? (September 17)

This week's Nightfall weapon is the The Slammer sword.

The Slammer is a solid sword to add to your collection

As always, the higher the difficulty, the better your chances of getting them. Here is the full breakdown

  • Advanced: 1995PL (Uncommon drop)
  • Expert: 2005PL (Common drop)
  • Master: 2010PL (Common drop)

Furthermore, Grandmaster Nightfalls are also available for those who reach 2020PL.

Is the The Slammer good in Destiny 2?

The Slammer has a great perk pool for both PvE and PvP. Look for the Chain Reaction-Cold Steel combo for add-clearing. Eager Edge is perfect for sword skating and extra Crucible mobility, making you a threat from longer distances.
