The grind never stops for Destiny 2 players, who can now acquire a returning weapon: the Shadow Price auto rifle, with brand-new perks and Origin Traits to make it an interesting choice.
Shadow Price was first introduced in Season 13 to mild results, with the community opting for other archetypes as the weapon had a very limited an uninteresting perk pool.
This time, however, Bungie is looking to fix the mistakes from the past and has given the auto rifle some new traits to make the weapon possibly worthwhile.
With that said, let's break down how to get the Shadow Price and its God Roll. While you're here, check out our God Roll guide for the Scintillation linear fusion rifle.
How to get the Shadow Price auto rifle in Destiny 2
Shadow Price might not be worth the grind
The Shadow Price rifle is obtainable as a Nightfall reward, which is a tougher version of strikes and other content found within the Vanguard Ops playlist.
For reference, this is the Power Level required for each difficulty of Nightfalls during Episode 1, Echoes:
- Advanced: 1995PL (Uncommon drop)
- Expert: 2005PL (Common drop)
- Master: 2010PL (Common drop)
On top of that, Grandmaster Nightfalls are available for players who reach 2020 PL. If you complete the Grandmaster Nightfall, you'll gain access to an Adept version of Shadow Price. Be sure to keep an eye on the Nightfall schedule to know when the linear fusion rifle is available.
Once you've unlocked the Shadow Price you can use the Zavala focused decoding system and acquire further rolls. This is how much it costs:
- Five Vanguard engrams
- 25k Glimmer
Shadow Price God Roll in Destiny 2
Shadow Price is still very much a PvE-focused weapon, and with the refresh to its perk pool, it's actually a solid auto rifle. The problem is that the Hunter's Journal does not feature an AR Champion mod, meaning that running Shadow Price in high-end content will be a waste of a slot.
You should also note that this new version of Shadow Price comes with two new Origin Traits:
- Stunning Recovery: Stunning a Champion partially refills your magazine, triggers health regeneration, and improves recovery for a short duration
- Vanguard's Vindication: Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of health
Still, if you want to get your hands on a Shadow Price God Roll, this is what you should be on the lookout for:
