Although the current cheater situation has been preventing players from having a smooth time in multiplayer, especially Ranked Play, Black Ops 6 Zombies players have been on the good end of the stick as the game already has four maps available.
Two were available at launch (Terminus and Liberty Falls), one came out with the Season 1 reloaded update (Citadelle des Morts), and the last one was just added at the start of Season 2 (The Tomb).
It would appear that Treyarch was dropping everything they had prepared and players would just receive minimal additions in the latter seasons of the year. However, according to popular leaker TheGhostofHope, there are still three more round-based maps coming to the popular mode.
If this turns out to be real, Black Ops 6 will end its one-year cycle with a total of seven Zombies maps. On top of that, the leaker also mentioned that these maps could carry forward to the next Call of Duty title.
We already know through previous leaks that the new game will be a direct sequel to Black Ops 2, featuring not only round-based Zombies maps but also the return of the original crew (Takeo, Nicolai, and Dempsey). So having the maps from Black Ops 6 as well as new ones, will be a good selling point, similar to what happened between MW2 and MW3.
We are still a few months out from the next Call of Duty title, so Black Ops 6 remains the main focus. After the Tombs easter egg, all rumors point out that the next map will take place at the Mansion where Edward Richtofen was abducted into the Dark Aether in the Liberty Falls intro cinematic.
