Terminus, one of the launch maps for Black Ops 6 Zombies, features its full easter egg, with cinematics and rewards. Just like the Liberty Falls one, this quest gives players a fun task to complete and provides more details about the events happening in the Dark Aether story.
If you want to give it a go in Black Ops 6, we have prepared a full guide explaining every single step so you know what to do.
How to complete the Terminus main easter egg
Before starting, we recommend you try to progress through it and take as few rounds as possible since this will make some of the steps easier.
First, you need to do the usual: turn on the power. For this map, players are required to power up three generators located in three separate areas. If you need help with this, check out this guide.
After activating the last generator, jump into the water and bring the Pack-a-Punch platform up since you'll need it for the next steps. We also have a quick guide for this in case you don't know what we are talking about.
Now you need to get this map's wonder weapon, the Beamsmasher. There are two ways to get this weapon and we explain everything in this other guide to make your life easier.
When you have the weapon, go ahead and Pack-a-Punch it once. You will need the upgraded version (the one with the green camo) for the next step.
After you Pack-a-Punch it, you need to use the Beamsmasher in one of the tentacle traps of the map to obtain a Hard Drive item. There are three traps, but you can only get the Hard Drive from one, which is random for every game.
There are two tentacle traps in the Bio Lab area, one on each of the cave's entrances, and the third is on one of the doors of the Living Quarters, the same building where the Juggernog is. These are the locations for all the tentacle traps:
To identify the correct trap, you will need to look up at the vent from where the tentacles appear and see if it's broken like in the following image:
Underneath it, there will also be a keycard lying on the ground along with some rubble, so that's another indicator that this is the trap you need.
After identifying the correct trap, activate it and start shooting at the tentacles with the Beamsmashers' beam (Primary fire button).
After a few seconds, the trap will drop the Hard Drive item and you'll be able to pick it up from the ground.
Go back to the Guard Room, which is right next to the spawn room, and interact with a mailbox attached to the wall outside of where Dr. Peck is to place the Hard Drive.
Peck will investigate the files and mention a specimen is being held in the Bio Lab. To free him, you will need to get a three-digit code by checking out three different spots on the map.
For the first digit, you have to go to the Interrogations Room, right next to the Guard Room, and also where Quick Revive is located. The room has an interrogation cell, which you can see through a mesh wall.
Inside the interrogation cell, there will be a clock on the wall and the hour hand will indicate the first digit. In this case, the first digit is six since the clock is stuck at 6:20.
For the second digit, go to the Mess Hall and look at the board right next to one of the entrances.
This will have a playing card pin to it and that will tell you the second digit. This game had a seven of spades card attached to the board, which means the second digit is seven.
For the last digit, you must go to Engineering and look at a sign on the wall to the right of the workbench table inside the workshop. The sign will say "Safety First. Days since last injury" followed by a giant number.
That giant number is the third digit and it happened to be zero for our game.
A mini-boss fight is coming up, so be prepared and buy everything you can. Once you've done your preparations, go to the Bio Lab (the underground facility where you activated the third power generator) and interact with the main tank's keypad in the middle of the facility.
Nathan, Maya's brother, will be inside this tank and when he finishes his dialogue, you will be able to enter the code into the keypad. If the code is correct, the keypad will show the word Unlocked as shown in the video from MrDalekJD.
You will have to open the tank by interacting with one of the valves that are around it. If you are solo, you can interact with any of them and the mini-boss fight will immediately start. However, if you are playing with other people, everyone needs to interact with a different valve at the same time for the step to work.
A super strong Amalgam, which is Nathan mutated, will spawn and you will have to defeat him. During this fight, the Bio Lab will be under lockdown, meaning you won't be able to leave this area.
After defeating Nathan, the game will play an in-game cinematic, signaling you have completed the first half of the easter egg.
In the same room, drop down to the water below and look for a gold Key Card item underwater. This item will be lying on the ground somewhere in the Bio Lab water.
After you grab it, it's time to restock everything and prepare accordingly since the next step involves surviving in a closed room.
When you're ready, get a tactical raft and go to the Shipwreck in the middle of the sea. The ship has a big hole on the side you can go through, and there you will see a ladder and a hatch leading to a closed room with a workbench and two Node Connectors on it.
Grab both connectors, but know that the hatch will close up immediately after you do that. You will need to survive inside this room for a short time. After enough time passes, a Max Ammo power-up will spawn and the hatch will open up again.
The next task is to place these connectors in two areas where the island's pipeline is missing a piece. There are three possible locations for this and two at random will have a missing piece, so you will have to check all of them.
The first area is located on Crab Island, the one closest to the shipwreck. The pipeline spot will be on the coast closest when coming from the ship, just in front of the workbench. You can check the exact spot in the minimap of the following image:
The second area is underneath the Sea Tower, right by the Docks where you get a Tactical Raft, as shown in the image below.
The third and last area is in the Sea Cave, near the Speed Cola.
Once you find the spots, the players who grabbed a Node Connector just need to hold down the interact button and wait for the crafting animation to finish to fill the gap.
After placing the last connector, go back to the Guard Station (the area next to the spawn room where the first generator is) and you will find a Hacking Device in the mailbox, ready to pick up.
Grab it and go back to the Docks to get a new Tactical Raft because you will need to use this device to hack three buoys floating around the island. The first one will be at the following location:
Get close enough to the buoy with a satellite antenna while on the raft and hold the interact button to hack it. After completing the hack, a 2-minute countdown will start and you need to complete this step before it ends.
The second buoy will be floating at the following location, close to the shipwreck:
And here is the location for the third and final buoy:
Once you finish hacking the last buoy, you will get a white screen and go to the next round.
You now have to immediately go back to the Bio Lab as a self-destruct 5-minute countdown will begin and you will have to defuse three devices to stop it. Otherwise, the game will end and the map will blow up.
Use the secret tunnel on one side of the island to return to the Bio Lab by water. You can find the entrance on the spot shown in the following screenshot:
Once you are there, head over to the door shown in the image below on the lower level of the Bio Lab. The door will open, revealing the device you need to defuse by holding down the interact button.
The second device will be at the same level, on the opposite end of the Bio Lab.
The third device will be on the second floor, directly above the Melee Machiatto perk machine and underneath the top offices.
After deactivating it, the countdown sequence will stop and your screen will flash for a second. At this point, you are basically done with every step and all that's left to do is the boss fight against a giant Kraken.
So get weapons, upgrade them as much as possible, get your GobbleGums (change GobbleGum packs if you must), get armor, etc. You can progress through rounds if you need to, as the boss fight can be activated at any time.
Whenever you're ready, go back to the Bio Lab and interact with this door to the left of the Melee Machiatto perk machine to start the fight.
When playing coop, all players need to accept the prompt for the boss fight to start. They will then be taken outside of the Bio Lab, to the port at the back of the island to face off against the Kraken-like creature.
The boss has three stages and players will face two threats in each one, the monster itself and the tentacles surrounding the area.
For the first stage, you will have to shoot the red spots to do the most damage to the Kraken. In the second stage, the weak spot will be its mouth and the weak points for the third phase will be tentacle spots on the left and right side.
A new cutscene will play after defeating the creature, revealing more details about the Dark Aether story. Then, you will be prompted with the choice of continuing or ending the game.
Terminus easter egg reward
After completing the Terminus easter egg or main quest, you will unlock an operator skin for Maya, 5000 XP, and a calling card. Here is the skin, which can be used in both multiplayer and zombies:
