Competition format

The format used at the Jönköping Major will be the same one used at the Charlotte and Berlin Majors, as teams will be facing off in a double-round-robin, best-of-one group stage.

The group stage kicks off on Monday, November 21st and runs for three days. During the group stage, each team will face each other team twice. For this stage, matches will be streamed in parallel on on the Main and Bravo Rainbow Six Twitch channels.

The Thursday after the three-day group stage is a break day with no matches.

On Friday, the broadcast resumes with the playoffs, which will be hosted at DreamHack Winter and conclude with the Grand Finale on Sunday, November 27th. In addition to the winner of Jönköping, we will also see eight more teams qualify for the Six Invitational 2023.

The group stage of the Jönköping Major will be played closed from the public in Stockholm, where SI 2022 was moved to. The playoffs will be held at DreamHack Winter in Jönköping, at the Elmia Congress Center. The Jönköping Major will have its own stage and activities, however, but will also offer access to other DreamHack Winter events.

Ubisoft had previously announced the location of the November Major as “Asia” during the Year 7 roadmap reveal at the Six Invitational 2022. The November Major in 2021 was also originally set to be held in APAC, but was also moved to Sweden due to travel restrictions and local regulations in the APAC region.
