A one-shot grenade launcher is causing chaos in Warzone

Content creator TimTheTatman has uncovered a grenade launcher build that's breaking the existing meta.

Ahead of Season 4 Reloaded, the JAK Thumper 556 Aftermarket Part joined Call of Duty's battle royale as a modifier for the RGL-80, a grenade launcher that's never managed to compete with the vast selection of assault rifles, SMGs, and snipers.

Grenade launchers have rarely featured in the ever-changing Warzone meta but Tim's build has already caught the attention of players looking to make an impact.

During a video uploaded on June 20th, 2024, Tim showcased the immense power of the Aftermarket Part and its ability to eliminate players with a single shot.

"Call of Duty added something that made one of the best guns in history even more viable," says Tim. "A lot of you may remember the noob tube. Call of Duty decided to add an attachment, and now it one-shots."

Instead of the RGL-80 firing a standard grenade that doesn't down opponents when it lands close by, the JAK Thumper 556 allows players to change the ammunition type to a sticky grenade which downs players that are directly impacted by it. As a result, it's very easy to score plenty of kills from any distance.

As expected, the discovery of a one-shot grenade launcher has got the community talking. One player says: "The fact it just shoots a semtex grenade model out of it is so funny and shows how low-effort it was."

While Tim and others are enjoying the unorthodox yet powerful nature of the launcher, others aren't the biggest fans: "This thing is just buggy and weird in general," reveals one Reddit user. "Sticky and Drill ammo doesn't work properly in the firing range, it's just some weird slug/HE hybrid that 2-shots and only actually explode on kill."

With the mid-season update expected to introduce a wealth of buffs and nerfs for various weaponry in the arsenal, there's a chance the developer has spotted the overpowered launcher and is preparing to adjust its immense firepower to bring it in line with other launchers and explosives. For now, it's a great alternative for those looking for something that's not necessarily a weapon of choice.
