Team Liquid have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Montreal after a 2-1 victory against the current world champions, FURIA Esports.
The Black Panthers kicked off the series with an overtime victory on Border, which was followed by back-to-back Team Liquid wins on Lair and Nighthaven Labs, both by 7-4 scores.
Lucas "Paluh" Molina was Team Liquid's best player of the match with a SiegeGG rating of 1.15. However, to understand FURIA Esports' defeat against the Blue Cavalry, it's important to mention Gustavo "HerdsZ" Herdina's performance as he finished the game with a SiegeGG rating of 0.73, a K-D of 18-28 (-10), and an underwhelming entry balance of 6-11 (-5) while maining Ash and Lesion.
Team Liquid's victory against FURIA Esports also means that the Brazilian roster currently has 415 SI Points, a tally that should be enough to qualify for the Six Invitational 2025.
The Blue Cavalry's victory against the current world champions means their run at the BLAST R6 Major Montreal will kick off from the tournament's Swiss Stage. This is already an improvement to Manchester as they qualified through Brazil's Last Chance Qualifiers.
Meanwhile, FURIA Esports will have a second chance to qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Montreal tomorrow as they will play against the players' former home, w7m esports.
