FunPlus Phoenix and Bilibili Gaming have become the first eliminated rosters from the Valorant Champions Seoul.

FunPlus Phoenix began the competition with a thrilling defeat against Los Niños, which included two overtime losses on Abyss and Lotus. Unfortunately for them, the team's defeat against the VCT Masters Madrid champions has knocked out them of the competition.

Since the groups were drawn, Group B had been labeled as the group of death as it included this season's VCT Masters champions and Team Heretics, who finished in second place in Shanghai, China. Therefore, many people had expected FunPlus Phoenix to finish at the bottom of the standings.

Meanwhile, Bilibili Gaming followed FunPlus Phoenix's footsteps after a one-sided defeat against KRÜ Esports. The Chinese side had lost the opening match against Fnatic and are likely to finish the tournament with the worst round difference (-26).

Unfortunately, these results mean that only two Chinese sides remain in the competition in EDward Gaming and Trace Esports. While Trace Esports have already clinched a playoff spot, EDward Gaming will try to do so on August 11 as they will play against the winner of the series between FUT Esports and Paper Rex.
