The Black Ops 6 beta is over and now that we are over a month away from the full release, Activision has finally confirmed that the game won't have an early access period.
The past two Call of Duty titles, Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3, offered the choice of accessing the game's campaign a few days early by pre-ordering any edition.
Although there were some rumors about an early access period for the Zombies mode, even before the game was announced, that won't be the case.
An Activision representative sent the following statement to CharlieIntel, denying any rumors of an early access period:
The team is fully focused on October 25th. We are excited about all the game has to offer across Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies. This year, we made the decision to ensure the community gets to dig in to any and all modes that they want at the same time, so we are back to one massive global launch moment October 25th. As such, there is no Early Access beat this year for Black Ops 6, just the countdown to launch.
Early access proved to be a great way to make people interested in the campaign side of the game since it was the only mode available.
However, the Modern Warfare 3 campaign received many negative reviews when it came out in early access, with most of them criticizing its length, so it would make sense if this was one of the main reasons behind not having early access this time.
Black Ops 6 is scheduled to come out on Friday, October 25, and people will have to decide which game mode to jump first, with the campaign probably having the least amount of interest among the community.
