EDward Gaming have defeated Paper Rex in Group D's final elimination match. The Chinese roster have taken the group's second seed only behind G2 Esports after the team's victories against FUT Esports and Paper Rex.

Although the Pacific roster began the series with a one-sided 13-3 victory on Icebox, the Chinese squad forced map three after a 13-8 win on Sunset. Eventually, the VCT China 2024 champions sent the Asian roster back home with a 13-4 win on Lotus.

Zhang "Smoggy" Zhao was arguably the best player of the series with 52 kills and an ACS of 265.

With this victory, EDward Gaming has become the second Chinese roster to qualify for the Valorant Champions Seoul playoffs after Trace Esports' Group B first seed. Meanwhile, this means that DRX will be the only team from the Pacific region in the playoffs after all Gen.G Esports, Talon Esports, and Paper Rex were knocked out in the group stage.

Additionally, this also means that the Valorant Champions 2023 grand finalists have been group staged, as Paper Rex lost against Evil Geniuses' in last year's edition.
