Bungie is slowly but surely revealing more information about what kind of content players can expect from Into the Light, the small update the game will get before The Final Shape expansion, including all the weapons Guardians will be able to obtain.
Into the Light will serve as a bridge for new players to get acquainted with the story and for veterans to relive some memories. With confirmation that new weapons are being reissued, this guide will list every single one returning to Destiny 2.
It would seem most will drop from the new free three-player activity, Onslaught, however, there's no confirmation about the method to get these. Once we know more, we'll update the article accordingly.
All Destiny 2 Into the Light weapons
So far, seven confirmed weapons are returning to Into The Light, with the highlight undoubtedly being the Midnight Coup hand cannon, which hasn't been seen since the original release of Destiny 2. These are:
Blast Furnace pulse rifle
Falling Guillotine sword
Hammerhead machine gun
Hung Jury SR4 scout rifle
Luna’s Howl hand cannon
Midnight Coup hand cannon
The Recluse submachine gun
As you can see, Bungie is pulling out all the stops with Into the Light, even bringing back things like The Recluse, a weapon so overpowered it caused the developers to come up with weapon sunsetting to spice up the meta, particularly in PvP.
Most of the guns have been absent for a while, although certain fans have complained about the inclusion of things like Hung Jury. While it's a fan-favorite scout rifle from Destiny 1, it was added and obtainable during Season 20.
And that's it, once we find how different the perk pools look we'll have plenty of guides to help you find the best god roll for each. For more content, check out the new social space that's coming with Into the Light.
