Roster Changes
13. NinexT Leaves PaiN Gaming
With little reason given to as of why, Nino "ninexT" Pavolini has left PaiN Gaming a few hours before their first Pro League game of Season 9 is set to begin.
NinexT previously competed way back during Season 5 on Black Dragons alongside Kamikaze, pzd, Psycho and Thyy before retiring shortly afterwards. This retirement lasted till just after the Paris Major this year where he entered paiN to replace the FaZe bound player of yoona for the rest of the Season. Here he helped paiN just avoid a trip down to Challenger League as they finished 7th in the regular Season and defeated Guidance Gaming in their relagtion match to secure their Season 9 position.
It is unknown what lies in NinexT's future - whether he's going to slip back into retirement or join a new team - but his replacement in paiN Gaming can be expected in the next few hours as they're scheduled to play their opening game of Pro League Season 9 against INTZ e-Sports later tonight
12. Black Dragons acquires the ex-Team oNe roster
After leaving Team oNe last Wednesday, the roster of Vitor "Hugzord" Hugo, Dimas "Panico" Junior, Ronaldo "ion" Osawa, João Pedro "iblackZ" Chiarelli and Juninho "GdNN1" Nunes have now been picked by the very well known LATAM organisation - Black Dragons.
Team oNe ended Season 8 in third place, just two points away from qualifying for the LAN Finals in Rio de Janiero, which included two draws to the reigning Pro League Champions - Team Liquid - and a victory over the top team in Latin America - FaZe Clan- showing they have huge potential within the region.
Black Dragons meanwhile, previously were represented by the cores of the current Team Liquid and then Ninjas in Pyjamas rosters before they acquired a much less successful Challenger League promoted team for Season 8. They will, therefore, have high hopes for the roster as they aim to re-enter the top levels of competitive R6. Black Dragon's next game is against the newly promoted team of ReD DevilS e-Sports tomorrow as Pro League restarts again for Season 9.
11. INTZ Acquires BKG plus yuuK and DrunkKKzZZ
After a series of very promising results over the last few months such as a 1st place finish at the OGA Pit Season 1 tournament and an effective joint 3rd place finish during Season 8 of Pro League the remaining players of Thiago "bor" Borinelli, Vitor "IntacT" Janz and Eduardo "Dudds" Torassi will now play the upcoming Season of Pro League on the returning organisation of INTZ e-Sports.
INTZ previously fielded teams during Seasons 5 and 6 of Pro League which included a number of well-known players such as fk1, Silence and gCR before being picked up by the organisation known as YeaH Gaming for Season 7. The org achieved little success while in R6 but are now making a second attempt with this new mixed team.
To replace the departing players of MKing and Paluh enters the two recognisable names of Lucas "yuuk" Rodrigues and Joao "DrunkKKzZZ" Giordani to the team. YuuK previously played for Immortals but will now effectively do a straight swap with the ex-BKG player of MKing who took his place on the Immortals roster. DrunkKKzZZ meanwhile comes from the recently demoted LATAM team of Black Dragons who suffered a horrific Season 8.
While both these players had very different Season 8s - yuuK made LAN and came the closest to beating G2 than any other team while DrunkKKzZZ was automatically demoted after not winning a single game in their opening 7 - both will be eager to redeem themselves in the coming months on their new roster. INTZ's next game will be against paiN Gaming on Wednesday which will give fk1 and gCR a chance to give a proper welcome to their old organisation.
10. Bullet1 and MKing Join Immortals
José "Bullet1" Victor and Lucca "MKing" Coser have joined Immortals to replace the departing players of Lucas "yuuk" Rodrigues and Diogo "D1OGO1" Vieira for Season 9 of the Pro League.
Bullet1 previously played on Team Liquid and was one of the original members of that roster from Season 4 alongside ziG, Nesk and Sensi but was recently removed from the roster to be replaced by Paluh, a rising star in the LATAM scene. MKing meanwhile played on Bootkamp Gaming during Season 8 finishing in the fifth position after losing out on a three-way tie for third on "mini-league points".
The new Immortals roster of oNe, Cyb3r, Novys, Bullet1 and MKing's next game will be against Team Liquid in Pro League in what shall be a thrilling matchup against his previous team for Bullet1.
9. Yuuk and D1OGO1 leave Immortals
Lucas "yuuk" Rodrigues and Diogo "D1OGO1" Vieira have left the massive Brazilian organisation with little reasoning given to why as of yet.
D1OGO1 has been part of this Immortals roster since they were first picked up in June with Yuuk joining a month later and, together with oNe, Cyb3r, Novys and pX (their substitute), they qualified for the Six Major And the Season 8 Finals ahead of some of the "big-3" LATAM teams - NiP, Team Liquid and FaZe Clan. Despite being knocked out in the first round at both events this was seen as a quite impressive feat for the roster which had previously been stuck in the mid-table when known as BRK e-Sports.
Immortals next game will be in a week's time against Team Liquid in Season 9 of the Pro League so we can expect announcements on Yuuk and D1OGO1's replacements in the next few days.
8. Black Dragons Drops Roster
Following the departure of rdz earlier in the week, Black Dragons have dropped the remaining members of their roster. Black Dragons acquired this roster at the beginning of Season 8 as Ninjas in Pyjamas had picked up their previous team, however, the roster of LEV1, DrunkKKzZZ, slasH-, rdz, DocKy and, later, Sm4ll, never quite lived up to their reputation as they came last in Pro League, and so were demoted to Challenger League for Season 9.
Black Dragons have been a staple of R6 in the Latin American region since Pro League first started, initially with the core of the current Team Liquid roster, then with the core of the current NiP roster and now, rumour has it, they will be picking up the Team oNe roster which narrowly missed out on the Season 8 LAN Finals in Brazil.
7. Team oNe Roster Leaves Organisation
With little fanfare and explanation, Panico has announced that the Team oNe has left the organisation. There is no word yet as to which organisation will be picking the team up, but it is looking likely that it will be Black Dragons, who had its current roster relegated after a poor showing in Season 8 of the Pro League. Team oNe's (now former) roster on the other hand had a strong season, finishing in third place -- just two points behind Immortals -- and narrowly missing out on a Finals appearance in Rio.
6. Rdz Joins Guidance Gaming
The ex-pro League player of Rodrigo "rdz" Santos has left Black Dragons to join Guidance Gaming for Season 9 of Challenger League.
Guidance Gaming's LATAM roster ended Season 8 in second place in Challenger League but failed to make Pro League after losses to both ReD DevilS and paiN Gaming in the relegation matches. This means they have earnt an automatic spot in Challenger League's next season which they will now play with another ex-Black Dragon's member, rdz. This makes two BD alumni as, half way through Season 8, Guidance acquired the ex-BD coach of Twister to their staff.
Guidance Gaming's next game is against Santos e-Sports on December 20th in the Brasileirão Série B tournament, a league they currently lead in.
5. GohaN Replaces psk1 on Team Liquid
After benching himself from FaZe Clan three months ago Guilherme "gohaN" Al has joined the reigning Pro League champions of Team Liquid for Season 9.
GohaN previously led FaZe to two Pro League semi-finals during Seasons 5 and 6 as their in-game-leader but left after back-to-back disappointing results at the Season 7 Finals and the Paris Major. At the Season 7 Finals in Atlantic City FaZe were first-rounded by Millenium in somewhat of an upset while losses to Rogue and Team Secret meant the leading LATAM team went out in the Paris Major group stage. He now joins an increasingly impressive Team Liquid roster in what seems like the formation of a LATAM "super-team".
To make room for gohaN Paulo "psk1" Augusto has left the starting roster of Liquid as he "considers his options". Other than winning the Season 7 Pro League title, psk1 has won no other titles as he previously played on paiN Gaming during Year 2 and only joined the Liquid side just prior to Season 7.
4. Pzd Replaced in NiP by Pino
After a disappointing season which saw them narrowly escape the relegation zone in the final playday of the season, Ninjas in Pyjamas has dropped Pedro "pzd" Dutra from their roster. Pzd has played alongside this roster since Pro League began in Latin America, initially on V3 Masters and then on Black Dragons before being picked up by Ninjas in Pyjamas just prior to Season 8.
While in these rosters pzd has had a number of notable results, winning the first Season of the BR6 2017, finishing in second place during Pro League Season 6 and joint third during Season 4 and the Six Invitational 2018, however, has had a notable drop in performance in recent months. Pzd achieved a 0.92 SiegeGG rating in the second half of the season, the lowest in the team, and has not averaged a KD above 1 in either Pro League 8 or the Six Major - a notable statistic for an Ash/Jager main. He will now be replaced by the returning ex-pro of Gabriel "Pino" Fernandes for future tournaments.
Pino previously played in paiN Gaming during Season 4 of Pro League alongside the current Team Liquid player of psk1, and the current paiN players of Revo1Tz and SpawNsss in which the team were just a few rounds away from beating Black Dragons, the eventual seasonal runners-ups, and making LAN. Following this season, however, Pino, who was then 16 years old, was forced to retire as ESL's 18+ age rule was being enforced in LATAM for Season 5.
In the 17 months since, Pino has begun making a name for himself in the PUBG scene winning a number of tournaments, however, as he celebrates his 18th birthday this month, he has rejoined the R6 scene and will debut on Ninjas in Pyjamas alongside Kamikaze, Psycho, julio and wag tomorrow night against his old team, paiN Gaming, in the BR6 regional tournament.
3. Paluh Replaces Bullet1
After leaving Bootkamp Gaming earlier in the week, Luccas "Paluh" Molina has joined the reigning Pro League champions of Team Liquid in replace of Bullet1.
As one of the original members of this roster, José "Bullet1" Victor has played alongside his now ex-teammates of ziG, Nesk and Sensi since the very first season of Latin American Pro League during Season 4. With this team, he has helped the roster become the most successful one in the LATAM region after taking the Pro League Season 7 title six months ago, however, in preparation for Season 9, he has left the team to be replaced by the breakout star of Paluh.
2. MKing Leaves Bootkamp Gaming
Since joining the roster at the beginning of Season 7, Lucca "MKing" Coser has been a key player in Bootkamp helping the team win OGA Season 1 and finish fifth during both Seasons 7 and 8 of the Pro League. During Season 8, MKing achieved a 1.15 SiegeGG rating putting him in second in his team behind just Paluh and the seventh best player overall in Latin America.
This departure now means that the two best players in Bootkamp have left the team with no reason given of yet putting into doubt BKG's Season 9 prospects.
1. Paluh Leaves Bootkamp Gaming
Joining at the beginning of Season 8 to replace sSeiiya, Luccas "Paluh" Molina has had a mixed season so far. A month after joining his new team they became the first-ever Latin American OGA Pit champions, defeating FaZe Clan and Team oNe along the way, but has since failed to lead in any other competitions. In the Pro League, BKG ended the season in fifth place due to their head-to-head round difference hurting them in a three-way tie for third place, however, this was not for lack of trying on Paluh's part as he achieved an impressive 1.29 SiegeGG rating, the third highest in Latin America.
Just after his Br6 match against FaZe Clan on Sunday, he announced that that as his last game with Bootkamp but didn't give a reason as to why, however, with a Pro League performance as impressive as his, it is likely that he will be joining a new team soon enough.
