Team Bliss have become the first qualified side for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege's Esports World Cup after winning Oceania's Closed Qualifier. The bracket was played from June 26 to June 27 and saw the Australians claiming the region's ticket to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, following victories against Team Benana, Man eSports LFO, and Antic Esports.

Although the Australians were expected to comfortably qualify for the Esports World Cup 2024, the roster unexpectedly struggled in the latter stages of the bracket. The team's one-sided victory against Team Benana (7-1, 7-1) was followed by a 2-1 victory against Man eSports LFO and two maximum overtime wins against Antic Esports.

This result means that Team Bliss will compete in what will be the team's fifth international appearance. Previously, the Australians featured in the following competitions:

  • BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen: 21st to 24th place
  • BLAST R6 Major Atlanta: 17th to 20th place
  • Six Invitational 2024: 7th to 8th place
  • BLAST R6 Major Manchester: 9th to 11th place

Additionally, it's worth mentioning that the Esports World Cup 2024 will be William "Titan" Davie's first international performance as Team Bliss' head coach.

During the upcoming ten days, fifteen more rosters will qualify for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2024, with Brazil and South Korea being the next two regions to hold their closed qualifiers.
