Soniqs' Montreal stay has been extended today after the team's 2-0 victory against Elevate in their elimination match. Now, the North American roster is one victory away from Montreal's Phase 3. To reach the Finals, Soniqs must take down Team Liquid.

Although playing against the Blue Cavalry is always a tough challenge, now it may be the best moment to face them: Damian "Surf" Medina is on fire.

The North American player was our MVP on the second day of action of the BLAST R6 Major Montreal Phase 2 after his performance against G2 Esports. Surprisingly enough, after today's performance against Elevate, he has claimed another one.

There were Surf's stats in his match against Elevate:

  • SiegeGG rating: 1.73
  • K-D: 27-8 (+19)
  • Entry balance: 2-1 (+1)
  • KOST: 95
  • KPR: 1.35
  • Survival: 60
  • Clutches: 2

Ahead of the final day of action in Phase 2, Surf is the highest-rated player in the tournament with a SiegeGG rating of 1.38. He also has the best KOST (81) the best SRV (47) and the third-highest KPR (1.00) in the tournament.

Tomorrow's match against Team Liquid will be a crucial one for Soniqs as the North American lineup needs a win to qualify for the Six Invitational 2025. If the Blue Cavalry takes the win, Soniqs' last chance to qualify for Boston, Massachusetts, will be North America's regional qualifier.
