SANDBOX Gaming have announced the signing of Jang "RIN" Byeong-uk as he returns to South Korea following a short spell in Japan, where he competed for Varrel.

Between Mar. 2021 and Dec. 2022, RIN represented DPlus — then known as DWG KIA — in multiple international competitions, including the Six Mexico Major, the Six Sweden Major, the Six Berlin Major, and the Six Invitational 2022.

After missing out on the Six Invitational 2023, DWG KIA decided to part ways with RIN. Following a brief retirement, the South Korean joined the Japan League side Varrel, where he played in the Japan Invitational 2023 and the Japan League 2023 Stage 2.

While the announcement has been made today, RIN's official debut for SANDBOX Gaming will likely occur at the Six Invitational 2024 on Feb. 2024. The South Koreans qualified for the event after finishing in 20th place of the Global Standings, despite not getting out of Phase 1 in either Copenhagen or Atlanta's Majors.

At the same time, the South Korean team announced the arrival of César "Dark" Adriano, who has previously worked for FaZe Clan and MIBR. The Brazilian coach won the Six Sweden Major and reached third place at the Six Invitational 2022.
