Rainbow Six Mobile unveil Operation Ice Storm

Earlier this week, Ubisoft announced the return of Rainbow Six Mobile's Soft Launch, which was put on standby in March 2024.

After seven months of work in the shadows, Ubisoft's update explained the team's upcoming steps to continue developing Rainbow Six Mobile. According to the team's post, the game's Soft Launch would be divided into three phases.

On November 7, Ubisoft unveiled more information about the Rainbow Six Mobile's most immediate future and unveiled the game's new season: Operation Ice Storm.

Rainbow Six Mobile's Operation Ice Storm will be the continuation of Season Aurora and will officially re-start the game's Soft Launch stage, which will kick off next week.

Operation Ice Storm will include a great number of new features, including a new operator, a new gadget, balancing tweaks, and more content. Among these features, we find:

  • Renown becomes the game's new economy
  • Boosters
  • Battle pass
  • Buck to be added to Rainbow Six Mobile's operator pool
  • Private matches added
  • Quick Play
  • Silver Bullet, the equivalent of Alpha Packs
  • New training area called Homebase
  • New map called Restaurant
  • Addition of Rainbow Six Siege's Bulletproof Camera
  • Introduction of Obsidian and Dark Crystal skin
  • Practice Mode
  • Smart Ping
  • Death Drone

Overall, all of the new features included in Rainbow Six Mobile are a breath of fresh air for the fans and could even be included in Rainbow Six Siege in the upcoming future. For instance, the new map Restaurant could have the potential to join Rainbow Six Siege in the future.
