One of Team Liquid's two remaining players from their ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals victory, Paulo "psk1" Augusto, has officially left the team after four and a half years.
After competing in 2017 on paiN Gaming, psk1 joined Liquid in March 2018 to replace Lucas "yuuk" Rodrigues after Mindfreak knocked them out while making their international debut at SI 2018.
In psk1's very first season on the team, Team Liquid won Latin America's first global title as they defeated PENTA in the Pro League grand-final.
While many expected this to herald a new era for Brazilian Siege, they were the very first team knocked out of the Paris Major three months later, and they finished Season 8 of the Pro League in fourth place. Psk1 was then benched on Liquid for four months and replaced by Guilherme "gohaN" Alf.
In March, a year after he first joined, psk1 was promoted back to a starting role as gohaN left the team. He has remained in this position ever since, winning the OGA PIT Minor and the 2021 BR6 title with them. He also finished as a runner-up during the 2021 Six Invitational, DreamHack Montreal 2019, and the 2020 BR6 Finals.
After finishing in the semi-finals of the Mexico Major a year ago, Liquid made two roster changes, bringing in AsK and resetz.
Since then, the team reached the semi-finals again in Charlotte and finished in the top six at the 2022 Six Invitational, but missed out on both the Sweden Major and the recent Berlin Major.
As Liquid hopes to win their first Major title as three other Brazilian sides have recently done, the 29-year-old psk1 has now left the team with Team oNe's Lagonis expected to replace him.
