Warzone Mutation Resurgence explained

Here's a closer look at Warzone's Mutation Resurgence mode

As part of the mid-season update, the Warzone Mutation Resurgence mode arrives to Call of Duty's battle royale.

Season 4 Reloaded features plenty of new content including the Reclaimer 18 shotgun and Urzikstan map changes as a result of the DNA bomb detonating and causing widespread destruction of the Popov Power Plant. With green sludge scattering the area, there are some game-changing abilities on offer in this game mode.

Here, find all the intel on the Warzone Mutation Resurgence mode in this guide.

What is Warzone Mutation Resurgence?

Mutation Resurgence sees players dropping into the Popov Power Plant with no lethal or tactical equipment in the ground loot pool. Instead, players have access to Mutations that influence the characteristics of the Operator.

The rules are no different to standard Resurgence matches. Players drop into the action after being eliminated. Once the Resurgence timer is switched off, the remaining players battle it out to become the last one standing.

Warzone Mutation list

Below is a list of all the Mutations available in Mutation Resurgence:

  • Mutant Leap: A charged jump that covers huge distance
  • Divebomb: Fly into the air and dive towards a target. Enemies on impact are damaged and are forced backwards.
  • Bioshield: A protective bubble that blocks incoming damage and allows you to shoot out while standing within it.
  • Sludge Sting: Throw sludge grenades that explode into a gas on impact. The gas slows and damages enemies over time.
  • Toxic Stim Cloud: Deploys a poisonous cloud that damages to enemies while boosting squadmates' movement speed.
  • Mutant Vision: Outlines enemies in red for a short time.
  • Mutant Cloak: Turn invisible for a short time. When cloaked, players leave green footprints.

The process of earning the Mutations during a match isn't known yet but we expect it to be random as the match progresses. Once the method appears, we'll update the guide with the intel.
