The Warzone July 9th update has brought about major changes to the battle royale's existing meta.
With Season 5 moving into view, the latest dose of buffs and nerfs attempted to level the playing field but players dropping into the action still managed to find weaponry capable of dominating battle royale, Resurgence, and Ranked matches with ease.
As weapons with the fastest time to kill (TTK) continue proving popular, Raven Software has intervened with an update that's bound to shake things up and its one iconic rifle that's on the receiving end of further nerfs.
The Kar98k has received another nerf with its lower damage modifier decreased to 0.95x from 1.1x. The arm modifiers have been decreased to 0.95x from 1.2x while the leg modifiers have slightly declined to 0.95x from 1x.
Another notable nerf comes for the Superi 46 submachine gun. Its lower torso, arm, and hand modifiers have been reduced to 1.1x to 1.3x. Although these changes may seem small, they could bring other weapons into the mix.

Stability and performance
- Addressed an issue causing some players to become stuck loading the Main Menu.
Customization
- Addressed an exploit involving the Showcase allowing players to equip unearned items.
Gameplay
- Tac Sprint Boots
- Increased the number of Tac Sprint Boots that spawn in bunkers to 3, up from 1.
- 1 set of boots in the chest in the treasury room
- 2 sets of boots in the first bunker room, before the treasury room
Weapons
COR-45
- Addressed an exploit allowing a faster fire rate than intended using non-standard input methods.
Kastov 762 and Kastov 545
- JAK Requiem Conversion Kit
- Fixed incorrect iron sight and misaligned Optics after unequipping the Conversion Kit.
Superi 46
- Lower Torso Modifier decreased to 1.1x, down from 1.3x.
- Lower Arm and Hand Modifiers decreased to 1.1x, down from 1.3x.
FJX Horus
- JAK Scimitar Kit
- Fixed incorrect iron sight and blocked Barrel Attachments after unequipping the Conversion Kit.
Kar98k
- Lower Torso Modifier decreased to .95x, down from 1.1x.
- Arm Modifiers decreased to .95x, down from 1.2x.
- Leg Modifiers decreased to .95x, down from 1x.
