The Warzone Esports World Cup tournament is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Esports World Cup is replacing the Gamers8 event which ran in 2022 and 2023. Here's how the Warzone Esports World Cup format works. Unlike typical competitive Warzone matches, Resurgence will be the game mode of choice.
Here's how the tournament will be played:
- Players will be split into three groups
- Each group will play four maps
- Players will combine their scores to determine seeding for group stage
- 21 teams will be split into three groups
- Each group will play eight maps
- The top 14 teams will advance to the finals
- The 14 teams in the finals play for points
- The finals will feature eight maps
- The team with the most points is the winner
