Area 99 is the next map coming to Call of Duty: Warzone, as announced through the game's social media accounts. Even though the official reveal is happening at COD Next 2024, there are a few rumors about this upcoming map.

When is Area 99 coming out?
A release date for Area 99 hasn't been announced but we can look at past years to predict a reasonable release timing for the map.
We expect the map to be added to Warzone once the integration with Black Ops 6 happens, which is expected to occur at the start of Season 1.
Since the first post-launch season for each new game usually starts in December, the map should be released sometime in December 2024.
Area 99 rumors
According to CharlieIntel, Area 99 will be a Resurgence map, meaning the size will be similar to the smaller maps like Rebirth Island, Vondel, or Fortune's Keep.
On the other hand, leaker HeyImAlaix on X (formerly Twitter) claims that the map Rebirth Island could be taken out of rotation when Area 99 drops.
If the rumor turns out to be true, this means that only three Resurgence maps will be available in the game.
