Ubisoft have confirmed Rainbow Six Siege X's new defender Denari suffered a set of balancing changes right before its release in Operation High Stakes. These tweaks were introduced to his ability and loadout in his launch date after Ubisoft listened to the community's feedback in the Operation High Stakes Test Server.
Here's how Ubisoft changed Denari in Operation High Stakes' release:
- Damage: Denari's T.R.I.P. Connectors' damage has been reduced from 20 to 15.
- Reactivation Time: After a T.R.I.P. Connector has been triggered, it now takes 8 seconds to reactivate. In the Test Server, the reactivation time was 4 seconds.
Additionally, there's an unconfirmed change that affects Denari's Glaive-12 shotgun. As mentioned by the Rainbow Six Siege X content creator Titanium Rolo, Denari's shotgun now does more destructible damage, meaning he can create rotations quickly and more efficiently.
Overall, these changes tackle what was the community's main concern regarding Denari's gadget: time. While Denari's gadget has plenty of counters, when the reactivation time was four seconds, it was very hard for players to deal with the lasers. Although eight seconds is still a short reactivation time, this is a good start from Ubisoft. It's now Ubisoft's duty to keep monitoring Denari's evolution in the meta and make the pertinent changes.
