Team BDS have qualified for Rainbow Six Siege's Esports World Cup playoffs after defeating Team Cruelty and w7m esports. With these two results, the French-majority squad has become the first to make it to the tournament's playoff stage.
The back-to-back Gamers8 champions started both matches from the defending side and won ten of the twelve defenses they played on Bank and Nighthaven Labs combined. Meanwhile, despite facing some struggles on their attacking halves, Team BDS had no issues closing both matches.
Following Team BDS' victory against w7m esports, the Brazilians have dropped to the Lower Bracket, where they will play against the series winner between Luminosity Gaming and PSG Talon.
Considering the team's previous results in Saudi Arabia and the roster's second-place finish at the BLAST R6 Major Manchester, Team BDS are seen as the favorites to win Rainbow Six Siege's Esports World Cup. Now, the French-majority roster will have a day to rest before the start of the playoffs, which will kick off on August 2.
