Before the start of the BLAST R6 Major Montreal grand finals, Ubisoft unveiled all of the updates coming in Operation Collision Point, including Blackbeard's rework, the shield nerf, other operator balancing changes, and more.
While all of the changes that will be introduced to the game in Operation Collision Point will affect Rainbow Six Siege's players, Ubisoft's update regarding the Siege Cup has excited the fans.
As announced on November 17 during the season's full reveal, the Siege Cup will be released to all the platforms in Operation Collision Point.
To take part in the Siege Cup, you'll have to team up with four other players as only five-player squads are allowed to compete. After registering, you will be placed in a double-elimination bracket with eight-round matches and competitive settings.
The Siege Cup also awards players with Competitive Coins, a currency that can be used to open Competitive Packs. These packs include exclusive items that can only be obtained there.
Since the Siege Cup release in Operation Twin Shells, only PC players based in Europe and North America have had the chance to take part in it.
While most of the editions played have gone smoothly, the second edition of the Siege Cup had problems in Europe as players couldn't invite their teammates to compete in the tournament. To make up for it, Ubisoft gave 5,000 Competitive Points to all the players.
Keep in mind that, although the Siege Cup is being released to all platforms in Operation Collision Point, the game mode is still in its beta stage. This means that players could face some bugs and other issues while playing in the Siege Cup. If that happens, make sure to send your feedback to Ubisoft by using R6Fix!
