Octane Prestige skin: Possible release date, skin, finisher animation, and more!

Next month, Apex Legends' character Octane is getting a new Prestige skin. For those who don't know, Prestige skins were introduced to the game in March 2022, and so far, only seven legends have got one.

According to the leaks recently posted on social media, the eighth Prestige skin will be released in April 2024. Here's everything we know so far about Octane's Prestige skin!

Octane Prestige Skin

Unfortunately, Octane's Prestige Skin official release date hasn't been unveiled by Apex Legends yet.

However, according to leaks posted by the popular Apex Legends leaker @HYPERMYSTx, Octane's Mythic skin will be released to Apex Legends on April 23. He also unveiled details of the Apex Legends Shadow Society Event before its release, including details about the Cobalt Katar.

We will update this article with the official information as soon as Apex Legends reveals the initial details for Octane's Prestige skin.

Skin and tiers

Octane's Mythical skill will have three tiers. Players will be able to unlock them by completing a series of in-game objectives. Here's how to complete each tier!

Tier 1

Players will be able to unlock the first tier by completing in-game limited time events or by purchasing the cosmetics in the Mythic store.

Tier 2

To unlock the second tier, players will have to deal 30,000 damage with Octane.

Tier 3

Finally, players can unlock the third tier by dealing 100,000 damage with Octane. This will unlock the full skin and its finishing animation.

Octane's Mythic Divetrail

Octane's Mythic Divetrail sees him dropping to the battlefield surrounded by... flying sharks. If you're a fan of the film Sharknado or Kisame is your favorite character in Naruto Shippuden, you may want to purchase this one.

Despite the coolness of the Divetrail, a big part of the community complained about it as the lore surrounding Octane doesn't link him to sharks. However, some fans have pointed out the existence of a banner that displayed Octane with a shark.

Octane's Mythic Finishing

Octane's Mythic finishing animation may be one of the best in Apex Legends. The leak was welcomed by a huge part of the community, who was left speechless. Even some esports organizations commented on the post!
