Call of Duty certainly does unique collaborations and no better way of showing that than with the upcoming Cheech and Chong operator skins, which will turn killed enemies into joints. No, this is not a late April Fools joke.
The collaboration skins offer weed-infused effects when executing a kill and finisher. As mmentioned, the unique bullet tracer will turn killed enemies into giant joints. Check it out below.
On top of that, both skins come with a unique finisher called Secondhand Smoke, which will see the either Cheech or Chong go all Platoon, taking a massive draw of joint and blowing the smoke into the weapon and onto the face of the recently deceased.
If you aren't a fan of seminal stoner comedy, you may be wondering who these two old dudes are. Richard 'Cheech' Marin and Tommy Chong are a comedic duo that has been around for decades, finding breakout success during the '70s and '80s with films such as Up in Smoke, born out of the mind expanding, free loving spirit of '60s hippy counter-culture. Oh, and and they made no apologies about their love of weed.
They're undoubtedly icons and their inclusion in Call of Duty doesn't feel as out of place as other more bizarre collaborations the franchise has made in recent times, such as the Dune: Part II crossover.
Naturally, the introduction of such special skins requires a special date, and Activision found the perfect one, as Cheech and Chong will be available in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone on April 20. A match made in heaven.
If you're keen on jumping to Warzone or MW3 to celebrate 4/20 the way it deserves, check out everything you need to know about season 3, which just kicked off.
