Season 3 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is approaching fast and Activision has started to tease some of the additions coming to the game. In case you are curious to know what's coming to the game, we have gathered every piece of information known so far.
Release date
Season 3 for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 3. A new update will introduce all the new content to both games and it will be available at 9:00 am PT/ 4:00 pm GMT.
If the format remains the same, this season should last around 8 weeks, with a mid-season refresh coming after 4 weeks to add a second batch of content.
Rebirth Island
One of the biggest additions of this season is the return of Rebirth Island, the small map inspired by Alcatraz Island that was originally available in the first Warzone.
Its return was announced last year at the COD Next event and the Call of Duty social accounts have already confirmed its coming at the beginning of this season. The tactical map of this new Rebirth version was posted online and you can have a look at it down below:
New weapons
As revealed by leakers, this season will bring three new weapons directly based on guns from one of Sledgehammer's previous titles, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
Those weapons are the Bal (Assault Rifle), Mors (Sniper Rifle), and MP9 (Submachine gun). Since the textures for these guns are already in the files, leakers posted the following video showing off the new blueprints:
It is believed these three weapons will be available to unlock through the battle pass, although one of them may not be available at the beginning of the season.
Once more details about this new season are announced, we will update this article to add all the missing information.
