Mirage parts ways with Marmalade

Mirage are making changes again.

Mirage announced today, Sep. 2, that they have parted ways with Emma "Marmalade" Peterson.

The American player was the only active female top-flight player in the world, though various teams such as Rogue and Wolves Esports prominently feature female support staff.

Marmalade expressed disappointment at Mirage's decision, stating that she had "a lot to say about the whole situation".

She was signed to Mirage at the start of the season as a hot prospect from the Challenger League. While her statistics did not set the leaderboards on fire, Mirage as a whole was struggling throughout Stages 1 and 2 and finished last both times.

Mirage will thus be looking for a new player once again, while Marmalade will hope to land on a team as the transfer window draws to a close and new signings are announced.
