Luminosity Gaming's player Kile "Wifi" Galati has unveiled on his personal X account the organization's decision of parting ways with the American roster as all of the players are now free agents.

Luminosity joined the North America League 2023 after the competition decided to expand from eight to nine rosters ahead of the second split. Although the team missed out on the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta, the roster moves made before the start of Year 9 were met with optimistic results in the first split of the season.

Against all of the odds, after back-to-back victories against M80 and a 2-0 win against Spacestation Gaming, Luminosity Gaming qualified for the Esports World Cup. Unfortunately, the team's momentum was watered down ahead of the second split following the exit of Damian "Surf" Medina, who joined Soniqs.

Despite Luminosity Gaming's decision of parting ways with the roster, the players have decided to keep playing together as their plan is to compete at the ELEMENT FOUR and the Six Invitational 2025 regional qualifiers.

While the players' main idea is to grow as a team during the upcoming months ahead of the next season, they also "understand that any individual offers from teams that have a secured spot in pro league next year take priority."

Luminosity Gaming's performances during the first split saw some Tier 1 teams knocking on the roster's door, with James "Hat" Hatfield joining Oxygen Esports in June 2024. His replacement, Adam "Surf" Medina, joined Soniqs after an almost two-month stay in Luminosity Gaming.

If that wasn't enough, the roster had to make changes to its staff team after the conclusion of the Esports World Cup as Charles "Vivid" Stahelek and Forrest "Mossy" Perkett joined Cloud9 Beastcoast. In other words, the now-former Luminosity Gaming squad has had to face multiple roster moves due to other teams chasing their players and staff, which has had an impact in the team's season.

After missing out on the BLAST R6 Major Montreal, the team must win the Six Invitational 2025 regional qualifier to clinch a spot to compete in Boston, Massachusetts. With the Esports World Cup closed qualifier being the team's best example of the squad's talent, why couldn't they do it again in a few months on their way to the Six Invitational 2025? Only time will tell.
