FaZe Clan have become Brazilian champions after defeating FURIA Esports in the BR Premier Finals 2024 grand final.
FaZe Clan's initial 8-6 victory on Consulate was followed by a FURIA Esports 7-4 victory on Clubhouse. Eventually, FaZe Clan took down the Black Panthers with a 7-5 win on Kafe Dostoyevsky.
This is FaZe Clan's only second Brazilian Finals championship, as they had only become seasonal champions at the Brasileirão 2018. Since then, Team Liquid won it thrice and MIBR once. It's worth mentioning that no regional finals were played last year.
It's fair to say FaZe Clan have been the most consistent team in Brazil this season as they won both Brazil League 2024 stages. Additionally, they finished in third place at the Super Copa do Brasil and topped the standings of their BR Premier Finals 2024 group, which included MIBR, Keyd Stars, Black Dragons, and Fluxo.
Eduardo "KDS" Chiste was chosen as the best player of the series with a K-D of 38-26 (+8) and an outstanding entry balance of 9-0 (+9). The Brazilian also contributed with a clutch on Consulate, which saw FaZe Clan reaching match point first and was crucial to eventually get a deciding overtime win.
However, the Brazilian was also in the spotlight after the conclusion of the match after admitting his feelings for Rainbow Six Siege have changed. "I don't have fun playing Rainbow Six Siege anymore, except when playing in a championship with my team."
Although his thoughts pushed the fans to talk about a potential KDS retirement, the Brazilian also admitted he will be on the team next year. In two months, FaZe Clan will make their debut at the Six Invitational 2025.
