Destiny 2 The Final Shape introduced plenty of new weapons and while many are focusing on the exotics, the legendary gear has some nice surprises as well, such as The Call.
The Call is a very unique sidearm, as it's not a hitscan weapon but a projectile based on that deals Strand damage. More than that, The Call uses special ammo and comes with a very special frame that will definitely make it a fan favorite with the right perks.
So, if you want to add it to your arsenal, here's how to get The Call sidearm in Destiny and the God Roll you should be chasing.
How to get The Call in Destiny 2
You don't have to do anything special to get your hands on The Call, as this sidearm is a random drop from doing activities in The Pale Heart. That includes Lost Sectors, patrols, and of course, The Final Shape campaign.
In fact, you get a curated roll for completing mission 2, although finding one with the right perk combination will ensure you get the most out of The Call, making it a very powerful new tool, especially if you're building around Strand.
The Call God Roll in Destiny 2
Now that you know how easy it is to get, then it's time to see which perks work best with it. The Call comes with the following frame:
- Rocket-Assisted Frame: Sidearm fires self-propelled rocket ammunition. Projectiles explode on impact for high damage
The Call PvP God Roll
- Column 1: Volatile Launch, Quick Launch
- Column 2: High-Explosive Ordnance, High-Velocity Rounds
- Column 3: Beacon Rounds, Slice
- Column 4: Desperate Measures, Vorpal Weapon
The Call doesn't have the best perk pool for PvP but can still be a fun weapon to use in the more casual Crucible modes. If you drop it with High-Velocity and Beacon Rounds you can turn your sidearm into a mini-grenade launcher that can take enemies by surprise.
The Call PvE God Roll
- Column 1: Volatile Launch, Quick Launch
- Column 2: High-Explosive Ordnance, High-Velocity Rounds
- Column 3: Beacon Rounds, Demolitionist
- Column 4: Desperate Measures, Hatchling
Where the weapon truly shines is in PvE, particularly with Hatchling, making it a crowd-control beast of a weapon that doesn't take up your special weapon slot, allowing you to have incredible DPS.
