With Overwatch 2 Season 18 right around the corner, Blizzard posted the launch trailer to give us a good look at all the major additions. The trailer has a little teaser at the end, revealing that the next collaboration will be with Persona 5.
The beloved RPG franchise from Atlus has been around since 1996, but this collaboration appears to be focused on Persona 5 specifically. The teaser only shows us the silhouette of Joker doing his signature pose, but nothing more, meaning that we still have to wait to know more details.
In case you haven't seen it or if you want to give it another look, here is the Season 18 trailer:
Although the teaser doesn't give us anything else, we expect this collaboration to follow the same format and bring skins based on Persona characters to some of the Overwatch heroes. All of these skins will be available to purchase through the in-game store, and if luck is on our side, one of those skins could be unlockable through completing challenges.
A Joker skin is probably confirmed, but it is unclear who will get that cosmetic. Some users online are claiming Cassidy is the one in the teaser, but at the moment, we don't have anything to support this.
At the moment, we don't have a release date for this crossover, so we will have to be on the lookout. Given the format in recent seasons, we can expect this collaboration to drop at some point in the first half of Season 18, since a second collaboration should come out in the second half.
