With the usual weekly reset and a new update dropping soon in Destiny 2, you might be wondering if the server status is down or not. The developers usually take down the servers to work on them before every patch.

The Final Shape is behind us, with players enjoying the first act of Episode: Echoes.

Now, Act 2 continues. The start brought plenty more content to the game, including the Red Death Reformed catalyst and new weapons such as the Aberrant Action sidearm and the Corrasion pulse rifle. Plus, the start of the Solstice 2024 is finally upon us.

Here is everything you need to know about this week's downtime.

Bungie doesn't expect the downtime to extend beyond the usual period, sharing a small timeline of the server maintenance period via social media.

Destiny 2 patch brings a lot of changes for players, including the ability to farm Exotic class items more consistently as the developers will streamline the process to focus it mostly on Overthrow activities after you complete the Dual Destiny mission the first time.

Sadly, in terms of new story content, players will have to wait until Episode: Echoes Act 3 drops on August 27.
