The current Call of Duty cycle is in its final quarter, which means Warzone is also expected to transition to a new year with the launch of Black Ops 7. A new year is usually accompanied by a new map for the Battle Royale, and we may have our first details about the upcoming map.

According to TheGhostOfHope, a prominent Call of Duty leaker, a new Resurgence map is in development for the free title, and it will be an extended version of Liberty Falls, the Black Ops 6 Zombies map that was available at launch.

Given that Resurgence maps tend not to be as large as normal Battle Royale maps, this sounds very possible. The map is expected to launch at the start of Black Ops 7 Season 1, when the integration between the new game and Warzone takes place.

With Black Ops 7 launching on November 14th, we can expect Season 1 to arrive sometime in December. A specific date is impossible to provide at the moment since no post-launch details have been announced.

The leaker also stated that some people had the chance to try this new map, but he heard that "nobody really liked it." It will be interesting to see what the reception to this news will be, especially from the Zombies community.

If the information is accurate, we expect this news to be confirmed either a few days before or during the upcoming Call of Duty NEXT 2025 event, which is scheduled to take place on September 30th.

In the meantime, check out this article to see all the major details that have been announced so far about Black Ops 7, since we will be gathering the information there in the lead-up to launch.
