Now that Episode: Echoes is coming to an end, Bungie has revealed the Power Level caps for the follow-up episode, Episode: Revenant.

If you jumped to Destiny 2 with The Final Shape and this is your first time dealing with PL changes, then we'll break down all the necessary info so you don't get caught off guard.

Destiny 2 Episode: Revenant Power Level caps

Destiny 2 has a Power Level cap system, allowing players to take on increasingly difficult activities with better rewards. For Episode: Revenant, these are the PL caps:

  • Power Floor: 1900
  • Soft Cap: 1950
  • Powerful Cap: 2000
  • Hard Cap/Pinnacle Cap: 2010

The base Power Level going into The Final Shape is 1900 for all weapons and armor pieces. The hard or Pinnacle cap is the maximum Power Level players can reach without considering the boost provided by the artifact.

Best way to raise Power Level in Destiny 2

Raising Power Level (PL) can definitely be a grind, but Bungie has made it easier for players with multiple characters. Drops for all characters will be relative to the character with the highest PL. Even if you complete all the designated Powerful rewards each week, you'll still get access to better rewards with at least +1 PL until you reach the Powerful Cap. Here are our recommendations for raising your Power Level quickly during Episode: Revenant.

Ritual Activities

Activities like Vanguard Ops require a specific PL, but you can still attempt them and earn valuable rewards.

On the other hand, activities like Onslaught, the Crucible, and Gambit have PL disabled, making the competition fair for all players. Regarding Vanguard Ops, it's important to note that Bungie allows players with lower PL to join these challenging activities as long as they're playing with someone with a higher Power Level. Just keep in mind that it might be a bit more difficult for the entire fireteam.

Complete Pathfinder tracks

Pathfinder in Destiny 2 combines vendor challenges into an easy-to-follow reward track.

You can access it from the main Destinations tab and complete tasks like getting kills with specific weapons and earning multi-kills with Supers. Completing the track rewards you with a Prime Engram, Bright Dust, an Enhancement Prism, and XP for your battle pass. Subsequent runs offer fewer rewards.

Pinnacle rewards

Pinnacle rewards in Destiny 2's endgame are highly sought-after as they can push you beyond the Powerful cap. The activities that offer Pinnacle gear, such as raids, dungeons, and exotic missions, rotate weekly. The new Episode: Revenant dungeon is expected to drop Pinnacle gear each week.
