Like every start of a new season or new Episode for the past year, Bungie brings a wide assortment of content for players to grind. This time, Heresy brought a new dungeon: the Sundered Doctrine.
There's plenty of gear up for grabs, including Legendary weapons and armor. On top of that, there's the Finality's Auger.
Where to get Finality's Auger in Destiny 2
As you might have guessed, the Finality's Auger linear fusion rifle can be obtained in the Sundered Doctrine dungeon.
A new linear fusion rifle is up for grabs
It can drop as a reward for defeating the final boss of the dungeon. Be warned, however, that the Finality's Auger is not a guaranteed drop upon first completion, or any, for that matter. It's completely an RNG-dependent drop.
Finality's Auger perks and stats
If you do happen to get your hands on this unique linear exotic fusion rifle, this is what you can expect from it based on its perks:
- Ruinscribe's Forge: Alt fire to fire a special projectile that deploys a Ruinscribe Turret. This projectile costs 3 ammo to fire. Aim the projectile skyward to provide the clearest sight lines for the turret which will automatically shoot at nearby targets
- Ruinscribe's Beacon: While a Ruinscribe Turret is deployed, this weapon can paint targets with its laser projectiles. The turret prioritizes painted targets and fires more powerful munitions at them. Alt Fire to swap between normal fire and laser fire modes

Finality's Auger catalyst
Like many dungeon and raid exotics, there's a Catalyst to be earned as well. The Catalyst for the Finality's Auger adds the following perk:
- Bait and Switch: Deal damage with all equipped weapons within a short time to give this weapon a damage boost
