Act 3 of Episode: Echoes just kicked off, bringing a new Exotic mission called Encore Overture, which rewards players with the brand-new Choir of One Exotic auto rifle. If you want to upgrade it with Catalyst, you'll need to do some work, including finding Golden Age tech in The Rift Lost Sector.
While it may seem enticing to quickly jump into the Expert version of Encore Overture to find secret chests and add a powerful Catalyst to your shiny Choir of One, you'll need to complete a few other tasks before the chest starts showing up for you.
One of those tasks is tied to the new seasonal story. So, if you want to know the Golden Age tech locations in Destiny 2, we got you covered.
Where to find the Golden Age tech in The Rift Lost Sector
Once you progress through the early steps of the A Rising Chorus Act 3 quest, which includes completing the Encore Overture Exotic mission, you'll be tasked with finding five pieces of Golden Age tech hidden in The Rift Lost Sector in Nessus.
Completing this is required to unlock the Specimen ID NES007 quest, which you can find during the Encore Overture mission. So, if you were wondering why you weren't able to start the NES007 quest as soon as you picked it up, that's why.
The Rift Lost Sector location
First off, you need to find The Rift Lost Sector. Simply head over to the Exodus Black Landing Zone and find a massive Lost Sector logo near Failsafe's ship wreckage. The entrance is in a hole in the wall behind the logo.

Once inside, progress until you reach the final section of the Lost Sector where the boss and his chest are visible. Clean up the area so you can start your search with no one interrupting you.

You'll find the first one near the main pathway you are supposed to use to reach the boss' area. Walk in a straight line and turn right after you pass a few crates.

For the second one, turn around and jump onto the small platform directly in front of you, look to your right, and the Golden Age tech should be visible.

Without moving from that platform you're standing, look to your left and walk towards the ramp that will lead you to the third Golden Age tech hidden inside an open metal crate.

The fourth one will be on the platform above the Lost Sector boss chest, probably the easiest to find.

Finally, near the path that leads you outside the Lost Sector, to the left of where the boss chest spawns, the final Golden Age tech will be waiting for you in the section seen below.

Once you find them, the next step will be to go back to Failsafe at The H.E.L.M and upgrade its systems, this will allow you to pick up the Specimen ID NES007 quest.
