Despite the shift away from Seasons to Episodes, we're still being treated to all the bells and whistles we've come to expect. Naturally, this includes unique Exotic weapon quests. During Episode 1: Echoes, this is the Choir of One, a new Void Exotic auto rifle. As such, you’ll want to find out how to get Choir of One in Destiny 2 Echoes, its perks, and details on its Catalyst so you can add it to your collection right away.
Though it's yet to be in our hands, there's a good chance the Choir of One becomes one of the best Destiny 2 Exotic guns, as craftable Exotics give you the opportunity to tailor the weapon to your liking.
How to get Choir of One in Destiny 2
Choir of One can be obtained as a reward by completing the new Exotic mission in Destiny 2 Episode Echoes Act 3 called Encore: Overture. You can complete the mission solo or with a team, but it's worth noting that all members must have completed the A Rising Chorus Part 1 and 2 quests to get the Choir of One as a reward.
Choir of One is a truly unique Exotic weapon
Upon completing the quest you'll also obtain the pattern to craft the Choir of One. The weapon comes with three different Catalysts which can be obtained by completing the mission on Expert and finding a secret chest within it.
Destiny 2 Choir of One perks
The Choir of One is a very unique Exotic auto rifle that has the following perks:
- Fanatical Lance Trait - Rapid final blows cause targets to explode into a pool of radiolarian fluid. Hip firing launches multiple projectiles at once in a slower-moving spread pattern. Projectiles detonate on impact.
- Command Frame - Fires extended-range, heavy-caliber projectiles at a reduced rate of fire. Deals increased precision damage when aiming down sights.
- Element - Void
Pairing the Fanatical Lance trait changing the firing type when hip firing, the Command Frame adds a distinct flavor to the weapon's ADS capabilities. Choir of One hits like a truck if you land your precision hits while aiming down sights and can melt big groups of enemies with its hip-fire shots.
The best way to describe it is that Choir of One functions like a scout rifle while ADSing and like a fusion rifle while hip-firing.
Destiny 2 Choir of One Catalyst
Following the trend of other craftable Exotics, Choir of One has three Catalysts that you can choose between, unlocked by finding a secret chests in the Expert version of the Exotic Encore: Overture mission.
The three Catalysts are:
- Onslaught Refit - Weapon Kills grant a Stack of Onslaught for 4.5 seconds. Maximum of 3 Stacks.
- Subsistence Refit - Refills 10% of the Magazine from reserves on Weapon Kills.
- Destabilizing Rounds Refit - Weapon Kills apply Volatile to enemies in a 6.5-meter radius around the target.
