For those controller users, make sure to adjust your settings

Battlefield 6 features controller support, meaning players can use the controller of their choosing, even on PC, to run and gun. Although you can simply plug in a controller and start playing, maybe you should take some time to adjust the settings and make sure you optimize your experience.

We have prepared a short guide explaining some settings you could change to improve your performance with a controller.

How to access the controller settings?

To access all of the controller settings, go to the Settings tab from the menu above, which is the gear symbol right next to Challenges.

From here, select Controller from the menu on the left of the screen, and then hit the button that says Edit Settings in the bottom right corner. That will open the controller menu, where you can modify settings for using a soldier, a vehicle, and more.

Here are the settings we recommend moving, along with a short explanation for each change:

Infantry Control Settings

To access the Infantry Control Settings, hit the first option that says "Control Settings" from the Infantry section of this menu. Here are the options we decided to adjust:

  • Infantry Aim Sensitivity: 24
  • The default option is 20, but we recommend moving it up a bit just to have better mobility and response time when engaging in a fight.
  • Field of View:
  • If your PC or console allows it, bring the FOV up to the highest possible value, which is 120. This will give you a wider camera angle, improving the ability to spot enemies.
  • Soldier Aim Input Curve: BFBC2
  • This will change the aiming style to mimic the one from Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
  • Stick Input Acceleration Presets: BFBC2
  • Same as the previous setting.

Controller Tuning

Go back to the main controller settings menu and scroll down until you see the Other section at the bottom of this page.

Controller Left Stick

  • Center Deadzone: 0
  • Eliminating the deadzone value for better responsiveness.
  • Axial Deadzone: 3
  • Reducing the deadzone value for better responsiveness.

Controller Right Stick

  • Center Deadzone: 0
  • Eliminating the deadzone value for better responsiveness.
  • Axial Deadzone: 3
  • Reducing the deadzone value for better responsiveness.

These adjustments are not finalized, but they will definitely improve your experience and handling of the controller. We will update this guide when needed as the beta weekends go on, and when the game finally launches.
