Destiny 2 The Final Shape has finally arrived and while a select handful have been enjoying the DLC, many are struggling with multiple error codes, such as CAT, Weasel, and error code Plum.
Bungie is struggling to keep the servers afloat amid massive interest from the community in The Final Shape. While the majority of issues with the community are product of server connections, the influx of users reporting error code Plum is bizarre, as this one is tied to BattlEye, Destiny 2's PC anti-cheat software.
So, if you're one of the PC Destiny 2 players affected by error code Plum, here is what you need to know about solving it. While you're here, check out all ability and weapon changes in The Final Shape.
How to fix error code Plum in Destiny 2
The Bungie official website explains that error code Plum appears when BattlEye detects a problem with your PC that could potentially violate the developers' Terms of Service.
Fear not, as you may be running the game without the latest version of Windows, which could cause some issues. If you want to check for an update, head to Microsoft's official website and click the 'Check for updates' button.
If this doesn't solve the issue and you are certain of not using any sort of third-party software that BattlEye could have detected, then sadly there's nothing you can do, as the issue may be on Bungie's side.
Users on social media are speculating that the problem could stem from BattlEye being incompatible with the latest version of Destiny 2, update 8.0.0.1, as the error specifies the anti-cheat could not connect to the client.
Bungie has not yet confirmed if they are aware of the ongoing error code Plum and if they are attempting to find a solution for it.
