The latest teaser for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has seen the return of an iconic character from Activision's shooter series.
Black Ops 6, as the number confirms, is the sixth instalment of the Black Ops series developed by Treyarch and is the first Call of Duty title in history to have more than two years of development time. With a Warzone event expected to take place ahead of the Black Ops 6 Direct, players are eagerly anticipating more details.
Eagle-eyed Warzone players have experienced a new teaser which confirms a Black Ops legend is back once again.
The cutscene takes place at the start of a Warzone match and shows Frank Woods in a wheelchair revealing he and his team have found information on a mole they're attempting to hunt down.
"We got intel there might be key information that might finally reveal the mole we've been hunting," Woods reveals. "Now get out there and get to work."
With Woods in a wheelchair and Black Ops 6 set in the 1990s, the short teaser confirms two key parts of the Black Ops storyline. CIA agent Jason Hudson from the first Black Ops title is dead and there's also a chance of Alex Mason being dead too. The appearance of Woods also confirms the Black Ops 2 storyline is canon, leaving fans wanting to know more about what the story has in store.
Fans are bound to hear more information during the Black Ops 6 Direct on June 9th which immediately follows the Xbox Game Showcase taking place on the same day. In addition to details on the campaign, Treyarch is expected to share intel on multiplayer and a closer look at information on pre-orders.
For now, the latest chapter in the Black Ops story is taking shape and players can't wait to see what the developers have cooked up.
