BLAST R6 Major Munich: Swiss Stage Round 1 matches revealed

Here's a look at the games that will be played in the first round of the competition.

FURIA Esports EWC 2025

Earlier today, BLAST unveiled the eight matches that will kick off the action at the BLAST R6 Major Munich. These will start the tournament's Swiss Stage. By the end of November 11, the eight teams that manage to win three matches will qualify for the playoffs. Meanwhile, the bottom half of the Swiss Stage standings will have to fly back home.

Here's a brief introduction to the eight games, including a look at their match record and most exciting story lines!

Team Falcons vs. Shopify Rebellion

Team Falcons and Shopify Rebellion clashing at the BLAST R6 Major Munich means Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu and William "Spoit" Löfstedt will meet in one of the first eight games in the German city. Certainly, a great way for the fans to kick off the competition.

M80 vs. G2 Esports

As if fate wanted it, G2 Esports' Zack "Stompn" Lamb will make his BLAST R6 Major debut against M80. The 18-year-old made his first steps as a competitive player for M80X, which was M80's academy lineup.

Clashes between M80 and G2 Esports aren't seen very often. Both teams met at the Six Invitational 2025 as the samurai claimed a 2-0 victory after wins on Bank and Lair. However, before that, both teams had only faced off twice.

Another story line that's worth following is the presence of the three-time world champion and former G2 Esports player and coach, Fabian "Fabian" Hällsten, who now leads M80's project as the lineup's head coach.

FURIA Esports vs. Dplus

FURIA Esports' debut at the BLAST R6 Major Munich will be against Dplus. A lot of question marks surround the South Korean powerhouse, as their Brazilian lineup hasn't been tested at an international level yet.

CAG Osaka vs. FaZe Clan

CAG Osaka's last international match to date is their 0-3 defeat in RE:L0:AD's grand final against FURIA Esports. Six months later, the Japanese will play against the Six Invitational 2025 champions FaZe Clan.

Both teams have met thrice and the Cyclops are yet to beat the Brazilians. However, it's worth mentioning CAG Osaka have won two of the five maps played between both rosters. Therefore, an upset isn't as unlikely as it may seem.

Weibo Gaming vs. ENTERPRISE Esports

Weibo Gaming and ENTERPRISE Esports will clash in the first day of action in what will be one of the only two matches between teams from the same region.

On October 11, Weibo Gaming and ENTERPRISE Esports met in the APAC 2025 Major Munich Qualifier. Back then, the Asia League 2025 Stage 1 and Stage 2 champions took down the Oceanic roster after a heated BO3 series.

Spacestation vs. Team BDS

The BLAST R6 Major Munich will be Team BDS' second international appearance and first BLAST R6 Major performance since the organization parted ways with the current Team Falcons roster. Their first match will be against North America's second seed Spacestation.

w7m esports vs. Ninjas in Pyjamas

The defending BLAST R6 Major champions w7m esports will kick off their run in Munich with a match against Ninjas in Pyjamas. Since the start of this season, both teams have met five times, with a record of four wins for the Bulls and only one for the ninjas. It's not looking great for the shinobi.

Team Secret vs. Wildcard

Team Secret and Wildcard have only met once as they clashed in Rio de Janeiro's RE:L0:AD. Surprisingly enough, the future Siege X Esports World Cup 2025 champions lost against the American lineup. Six months later, the Europeans are the favorites to take the win.
