Ahead of the final day of the BLAST R6 Major Montreal Phase 2 six teams will fight for a chance to grab one of the three remaining spots to compete in Montreal's Finals.

Following today's results, Team Falcons, Team Secret, and Team BDS joined FaZe Clan and w7m esports in Phase 3. Fortunately, the wait to know what teams will complete the list will be short as the next and final play day of Montreal's Phase 2 will be played tomorrow.

The first match of the day will be the clash between the Chiefs and Virtus.pro. For the second BLAST R6 Major in a row, a team from Oceania is one win away from qualifying for the Finals. However, an Australian roster has never reached the Finals of a Six Major. Tomorrow, the Chiefs could become the first team to do so.

Meanwhile, Virtus.pro head to tomorrow's match after having lost two maximum overtime maps against Team BDS. Historically, Virtus.pro has never qualified for a BLAST R6 Major quarterfinal after being knocked out of Copenhagen and Atlanta with 2-3 records.

To make it look even worse, the Russians have yet to win a match after securing two Phase 2 wins: the team's initial 2-0 record in Copenhagen was followed by three back-to-back defeats, and, in Atlanta, the team went from a 2-1 to a 2-3 match record after losing their two final games. In other words, the Russians are currently 0-6 down in Phase 3 qualification matches.

The second match of the day will be the series between Black Dragons and Spacestation Gaming. So far, Black Dragons have won four matches as the Brazilians competed in the play-ins. While three of the team's four wins came against squads from Asia, Black Dragons' first victory was against North America's fourth seed CL4L. On the other hand, Spacestation Gaming's two wins came against North American teams as they have defeated Soniqs and DarkZero Esports.

Last but not least, Team Liquid and Soniqs will close Montreal's Phase 3. Curiously enough, the last time both teams met was in Montreal during the Six Invitational 2023. Back then, the North American lineup defeated the Blue Cavalry after wins on Villa and Chalet.
