With the Modern Warfare 3 and latest Warzone cycle starting to wind down, Treyarch has all but confirmed the next Call of Duty game will be titled Black Ops 6.
As focus moves towards the reveal which will offer a closer look at what Call of Duty 2024 has to offer, Warzone players have spotted the arrival of the Sally pistols, a staple of the Black Ops universe marking the first teaser surrounding Treyarch's latest installment.
On May 15th, 2024, the Sally pistols appeared in the battle royale as part of the game's huge pool of ground loot, fueling speculation that 2024's Call of Duty will be Black Ops 6. The pair of pistols have appeared in all Black Ops titles starting in 2010 with the first entry and most recently in Black Ops Cold War.
The latest iteration of the pistols features a tally of six. On X, formerly known as Twitter, Treyarch acknowledged the discovery of the pistols with the eyes emoji. Although it doesn't confirm anything, the return to Black Ops is on.
The appearance of the blueprint is the first clue pointing to the launch of Black Ops 6 which was heavily rumored to be Black Ops Gulf War. Fans will get a closer look at the game during the reveal event taking place on June 9th following the Xbox Showcase.
But before all that, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software have been cooking up plenty of new MW3 and Warzone content including the Season 4 update which is scheduled to go live on May 29th.
